On the 20th of October, 2023, the Laureate Institute of Pharmacy, located in Kathog, Tehsil, Jawalaji, Distt. Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, hosted a One Day Seminar centered around the theme of “Secure Our World” with a particular focus on National Cyber Security Awareness. The event commenced with a formal inauguration marked by a lamp-lighting ceremony held in the institute’s auditorium hall. Professor (Dr.) Mahendra Singh Ashawat, Director cum Principal, Laureate Institute of Pharmacy welcomes the eminent speaker. This seminar has attracted a significant audience, with more than 200 participants in attendance, including undergraduate students and research scholars. During the seminar, Mr. Aman Kumar, serving as a Sub Inspector in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) stationed in Sapri, Himachal Pradesh, delivered a comprehensive discourse on the critical topic of national security, with specific emphasis on its intricate entanglement with the multifarious facets of cybercrime. Professor CPS Verma, Dean Student Welfare; Head, Department of Pharmacognosy delivered the vote of thanks to the resource person, all teaching, and non-teaching faculty members and students of Laureate Institute of Pharmacy for their continuous support in organizing this event.
