The Red Ribbon Club of Laureate Institute of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the NSS Unit and the Department of Pharmacy Practice, commemorated World Lung Cancer Day on August 1, 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness about lung cancer and promote early detection through community engagement.
A field survey and awareness campaign were conducted across multiple public locations, including the Jwalaji locality, bus stand, SDM office, and Jwalaji Hotel. Approximately 300 community members participated and completed a structured survey feedback form related to lung cancer awareness and prevention.
The initiative saw active involvement from 20 Pharm.D students, who played a vital role in educating the public and collecting data.
