Laureate Institute of Pharmacy organized the Prakriti Poojan program on 24th December 2025 to promote environmental awareness and respect for nature. The program was conducted in the gracious presence of Prof. (Dr.) M. S. Ashawat, Director-cum-Principal, and Dr. C. P. S. Verma, Dean of Students’ Welfare and Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy. The program commenced with the ceremonial worship of sacred plants and trees, namely Tulsi, Neem, Peepal, Amla, and the banana plant, highlighting their medicinal, ecological, and cultural importance.
Prof. (Dr.) M. S. Ashawat and Dr. C. P. S. Verma actively guided and motivated the students, emphasizing the importance of living in harmony with nature and preserving biodiversity. An awareness session was conducted focusing on the importance of trees, conservation of water resources, and responsible use of plastic. Students were sensitized about the adverse effects of plastic on the environment and were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. They were encouraged to minimize plastic usage, practice waste segregation, and adopt eco-friendly alternatives in their daily lives.
The program concluded with a Pledge Ceremony, where students collectively took an oath to protect nature, conserve natural resources, reduce plastic usage, and contribute towards a sustainable and greener future.
