The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Laureate Institute of Pharmacy was established in the year 2024 with the vision of strengthening clinical pharmacy education and promoting patient-focused healthcare practices. The department offers the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) programme, a six-year professional doctoral course designed to prepare competent clinical pharmacists for modern healthcare systems.
The department focuses on developing strong foundations in clinical pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, pharmacotherapy, patient counselling, drug information services, and community pharmacy practice, in accordance with the norms and guidelines of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Emphasis is placed on experiential learning through hospital and clinical exposure, enabling students to gain real-world skills and professional confidence.
